Plumbing Services: Pipe Repair
Common Causes of Pipe Failure.
• Broken or collapsed pipes:
Drain pipes and sewer lines may become damage or completely broken due to settling, frozen ground or shifting soil surrounding the pipe.
• Pipe corrosion:
The pipe has deteriorated or cracked, causing blockage in the line and restricting water flow.
• Leaking joints:
The seals between pipes have broken, allowing water to escape into the area surrounding the pipe.
• Root penetration:
When tree roots or shrubs have infringe the sewer / drain line, preventing normal flow and/or broken the pipe and eventually damaging the line.
• Low-grade pipes:
Existing pipes are constructed of below standard material that have deteriorated or corroded over time.
Mr. Rooter technicians are fully trained in the use of top of the line industry equipment technologies to solve all of your pipe repair and replacement problems.
This diagram shows several common pipe problems and how Mr. Rooter identifies and corrects the problem. The first is root intrusion with a cable fitted with root cutting blade. The second is a cracked or misaligned pipe with a camera showing its locator signal. The third is a pipe with belly and the fourth is a crushed pipe. Using the camera to inspect the line allows Mr. Rooter to find the exact problem and locate exactly where the problem lies.
